AP Calculus teachers across the country are in a very challenging position right now. With the AP Exams just over a month away, it is time to start reviewing the content we've worked hard to discover, explore, and practice all year. This is the time when students fill in their learning gaps and organize the big ideas of the course. This is the time we really need to be face-to-face with students to get them ready.
And COVID-19 has now forced most of us into situations where we are expected to do all of this remotely.
East Kentwood High School closed its doors on March 13 with no face-to-face interaction with students for at least one month. We were left having to figure out a plan to make sure all of our students are ready for the AP Exam. Fortunately, we have spent this entire school year developing the beta version of the online Calc Medic AP Exam Review Course – the perfect solution for the current situation. Our students will be working through this review from their homes over the next month. We realize there are many teachers in the same situation without access to this resource.
Challenging situations call for creative solutions. Our community of AP Calc teachers and students have a very strong need for support right now and we care deeply about this community. This is why we have decided to offer the 2020 Calc Medic Review Course for free for schools impacted by coronavirus.
If your school is closed due to COVID-19 and you are interested in using this support with your students, you can now set up your own cohort and invite your students to join.
Note: Your login and password for the Review Course is different than your login and password for Calc Medic. You will need to create a new account for the Review Course.
Be sure to check out our Frequently Asked Questions about the Review Course. We hope this resource is of help to you and your students.
