Math Medic Assessment Platform FAQ

The Math Medic Assessment Platform (MMAP) is now being used by teachers all across the country. As such, we have been getting some great questions from teachers about the details of the MMAP. We have collected all your most common questions and have formulated our most helpful responses. We plan to add to this list as new questions come up.

Why can I only see the first units?

You are logged in with a free trial account. Trial accounts only have access to the first unit of each course. To gain access to all units, you will need to upgrade to a paid account.

Which courses do I have access to?

All four Math Medic courses! Each subscription includes access to all the assessment resources for Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Precalculus.

Can I download assessments in an editable version?

No. Due to the coding of the mathematical symbols, tables, and equations, transferring the assessment to an editable version often results in a loss of important information and formatting.

Do my students need to create accounts?

Students do not need to create accounts if the assessments are only given through print. If you are sharing assignments with your students via a link, they will need to create a free student account.

Does the platform auto-grade and give feedback to students?

No. When creating the platform, our top priority was to write good questions that require students to think flexibly, show their methods, and justify their responses. These types of responses cannot be auto-graded. We believe in asking questions that have more than just a single value for the answer. So until we create the Math Medic Grading Robot, we’ll have to provide students feedback another way.

How do I use the platform with my LMS?

All assessments can be delivered to students with a unique link. This link can then be shared on your LMS. Please note that this will not share answers with students, but only the questions.

Can you take purchase orders?

Yes. Please email Luke@MathMedic.com to start the process. Please include the number of subscriptions needed and the teachers’ names and email addresses.

Can you show me an overview of how the platform works?

Yes. In this video, Lindsey will take you through the general navigation of the Math Medic Assessment Platform.
